Mr. Biden helps Chicago - Newsmax:

Biden Giving Chicago Billions to Address Mayor Lightfoot's Crime Wave
Just hours after three undercover law enforcement officers were shot in Chicago on Wednesday morning, President Joe Biden visited with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot at an airport stop to discuss gun violence and federal support.

"During a greet with Mayor Lightfoot on the airport tarmac, President Biden expressed his personal support for the two ATF officials and the Chicago police officer who were shot earlier today," White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement Wednesday.

That is the official story - the payoff?

Psaki told reporters. "Cook County is getting over $1 billion, and the state government of Illinois is receiving an additional $8.13 billion."

90% of this money will go to pet projects and graft.  There will be 10% spent on a very showy grand opening of some new agency to specifically address the growing problem of __________________ (fill in the blank). This agency will overspend its budget and next years budget will be increased to account. This agency will never be terminated.  This agency will never do anything useful. This agency will employ more and more people, outgrow its space, move into its own building and never, ever do a damned thing. At least (eventually) you get a Drivers License from the DMV.

Lightfoot has no leadership skills.  No management skills.  She can not even delegate to those who do. She is credentialed and hits the politically correct talking points but otherwise?  In seriously over her head and not that smart.
