Smell of flashpowder in the air. Two County Sherriff's cars went speeding past 20 minutes ago - doing 60+ in a 35MPH zone. Blinky lights and sirens. Not even dark yet and fireworks are going off constantly all across the bay. Lots of people moored out to watch the show. There is one neighborhood which pools their fireworks and sets them off on the beach. There is also one family who must spend a couple $K each year on this - spectacular and it goes on for an hour. My only gripe is that these are on opposite ends of the beach. I have to turn around in my chair to follow the action (grumble).
So far, Truffle has had zero problems and there have been some very big bangs - universe creating in their intensity. Hear the echo rumble off the shoreline for a good five/ten seconds after detonation. Not a Black Cat by any means. I would almost guess an M-80 or even a quarter stick. If they were legal to buy in the United States. (snark snark snark)
Getting dark - time to head out and enjoy the display.
