Statues of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth toppled in Canada
Protesters have toppled statues of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II in the Canadian city of Winnipeg as anger grows over the discovery of the remains of hundreds of children in unmarked graves at former indigenous schools.
A crowd chanted "no pride in genocide" before pulling down the statues of the monarchs.
The action took place on Canada Day on Thursday, when traditionally celebrations take place across the country.
Like these Monarchs has anything to do with the teachers and administrators at that school. Also, not mentioned is the rate of childhood death - a lot higher then then today and probably even higher for indigenous children.
Here is an article at NBC News, June 24th, 2021. Running a few numbers, we see 751 graves. The School operated from 1899 to 1996. 97 years of operation. Assuming an even distribution, that is 7.74 deaths for each year of operation. There were no reports of the enrolment numbers. These numbers are tragic but they are not out of range. An outbreak of cholera or fever would wipe out many more than seven children.
As for the unmarked graves - the article stated the following:
and the nearby cemetery had been run by the Roman Catholic Church until Cowessess took it over in 1981
And:
He said the Catholic Church first removed the cemetery's headstones in the 1960s.
But this does not fit the current narrative. We must promote the current narrative. Narrative uber alles.
They are coming for the statues. Next, they will come for the books. They will then come for the people.
This is what communists do as they cement their power.
