Planning a run to Costco today as well as working in the garage.
Had a bit of an embarrassment yesterday. The shelf with the welding equipment is in front of the electrical panel for the house. To meet code, it is 36" in front of the panel. For now, I run the power cord from the welders to an outlet on the wall to one side of the panel. Makes for a bit of an obstruction. Had the brilliant thought over coffee yesterday to run a length of conduit up and over the ceiling and then mount some outlets on the shelf (this is a big industrial shelf unit - very sturdy). Was thinking about how brilliant an idea that was until I came home, opened the garage door and remembered that the door slides up between the ceiling and the shelf unit. Kind of in the way. I have this stuff set up near the garage door to keep fumes to a minimum.
