Yeah - they really went there - the Los Angeles Times

Unreal - here is a screen-cap as this is going to get memory-holed real soon now:

From the article at the Los Angeles Times:

Column: Larry Elder is the Black face of white supremacy. You’ve been warned
Larry Elder smiled the smug smile of a Black conservative who could very well be liberal California’s next governor.

The whole column is an object lesson in bias - promoting one narrative while ignoring the underlying questions.
A bit more:

I won’t lie. Few things infuriate me more than watching a Black person use willful blindness and cherry-picked facts to make overly simplistic arguments that whitewash the complex problems that come along with being Black in America.

And throughout his career — as a radio host, as a talking head for Fox News and now as a gubernatorial candidate — Elder has made a point of doing just that, usually with a lot of taunting and toddler-like name-calling of his ideological enemies in the process.

I'll just leave it here.  The writer is engaging in the logical fallacy (and here) known as argumentum ad hominem - in other words, the author has zero argument to rebut Elder's stated position so they seek instead to make fun of him.  To Niggerize him to borrow a term from Dr. Cornel West. To lessen his stature.  To make him seem to be an intellectual light-weight.

Little does the author realize that this is clear to see and their actions only serve to undermine their own credibility. Kudos to the Los Angeles Times for so openly presenting itself as a purveyor of hype and hearsay and the author as nothing more than a partisan hack.

People liked the free government shit but they are tired of all the other stuff that comes with it.  The pendulum is swinging back.  People are craving good leadership, not top-down control. Big difference.
