McCarthy claims he HAS the votes and expects to clinch on lucky 14th try – TONIGHT
Marathon loser of House speaker votes Kevin McCarthy told CNN shortly after the 13th ballot — in which he finally had the most votes but still did not get the majority — that he thinks 14 will be his lucky number.

“Mr. McCarthy, do you think you have the votes to be elected Speaker tonight?” asked Manu Raju as McCarthy was leaving the chanmber Friday afternoon.

“Yes,” said McCarthy.

“You do?” asked Raju.

“Yes,” McCarthy said again.

We will see.  So many other candidates - Steve Scalise would be at the top of my list. 
Well respected by both sides, a moderate but not a backstabbing RINO. He has ethics.
