The beating death of Tyre Nichols at the hands of five Memphis police officers is heinous. The time that it took the ambulance crew to respond and the fact that they stood around for up to fifteen minutes before rendering aid is seriously questionable.
It turns out that Tyre's home was only a few blocks from the incident. That is why he tried to run away.
Word is that several of the cops who beat him were members of the Vice Lords gang and that this was a payback. Tyre was known to them. Word is too that there were photos of other beatings on some of the officer's phones.
If any of this is true, expect the whole story to be memory-holed in 3... 2... 1...
