Two wonderful dinners in a row.
The tri-tip came out perfect. Happy that I did the mashed Yukon Golds instead of the bakers. Did a bed of coarsely mashed 'taters, sliced the beef on top of them (reserving a few pieces for the quality control team) and topped with the pan sauce. A big pat of compound butter on top and it was pure heaven. The day got nice and warm and dry so sat outside saying hi to the neighbors - near to low tide so they are walking the beach.
Going to have to get a burger tomorrow at McDonalds just to reset my tastebuds. Can't eat gourmet every day now can we?
