Doing some more of the Feijoada tonight. When I did the grocery shopping this morning, I remembered that the farmer's market was today (not Sunday) so picked up some fresh veggies and a pint of the first strawberries of the season. Going to slice them up with a dusting of sugar to let some syrup develop. Picked up a loaf of angel-food cake and some whipping cream - I do the whipped cream with a small splash of single malt whiskey. The taste is divine - smokey and sweet. Really adds a lot.
Get some rice going and saute up some more chard. Dinner in about an hour.
Raining pretty hard now - great night to spend indoors eating some comfort food...
