And stayed in this area today

The heavy weather started moving South into Oregon around 11AM and it has stayed there - this is from right now (4:00PM). Oregon has about 9,000 customers without power. Spectacular but a little too long a drive to make it worth my while:

Had the great pleasure of watching the SpaceX launch - talk about flawless.

The first stage landed perfectly on an autonomous barge in the Atlantic Ocean - great name: Of Course I Still Love You
There have been three barges: the Just Read The Instructions and the Of Course I Still Love You. The first Just Read The Instructions was retired so the third barge carries on that name. The names are from a Science Fiction novel by Iain M. Banks.

President Trump was there and spoke a few words after the launch:

All in all, a great day for America. When I was in grade school, they would take us out of class to watch the Mercury and Gemini launches. I watched all of the Apollo launches and followed the various space programs closely. We are finally getting proactive again and getting back into space. So much of our technology today got its start in the space program - this new surge will serve as a major boost to R&D - I can not wait to see what new developments come from it.
