The Center is holding another open-air thrift market so volunteering there tomorrow. Early start to the day so not staying up too late tonight.
Thai food really hit the spot - nice sunset too. Good end to a productive day (still did not get to the dump yet though - that island time is a real devil)
Some hardware came in from Amazon today so finishing off the botcherblock (freudian slip while typing? Love it) countertop desk - now I have the hardware to mount it so will go out Friday to buy it and finish that project.
Been using the MinWax wipe-on polyurethane finish for the last 20 years or so and only recently discovered to my chagrin that this is just regular poly that has been thinned 50% with mineral spirits. Making my own now for much cheaper and it works and seems to last just as well. DOH!
Been playing with alternative finishes for the blacksmithing - using metalic oil pastels as a base for a DIY rub and buff highlighting wax - fun stuff to play with and fun to branch out into other mediums.
Anyway, YouTube, maybe a beer or two and then an early bedtime.
