The Capitol Police - their testimony does not fit the narrative

I had heard about it and will be looking for a copy.  Right now, all I have are these - from ABC News:

First - ABC News - January 27, 2021

Capitol Police Union calls it 'unconscionable' leaders didn't better prepare for riot
The Capitol Police Union blasted the department's leadership one day after congressional testimony by acting Police Chief Yogananda Pittman, who said that the department knew two days before Jan. 6 that there was a "strong potential for violence and that Congress was the target."

"The disclosure that the entire executive team (former Chief [Steven] Sund, now Acting Chief Pittman, and Assistant Chief [Chad] Thomas) knew what was coming but did not better prepare us for potential violence, including the possible use of firearms against us, is unconscionable," union Chairman Gus Papathanasiou said in a statement Wednesday.

He said it was "inexcusable" that nobody relayed this to officers prior to the insurrection.

The acting chief of the U.S. Capitol Police apologized to lawmakers during Tuesday's hearing for not being more prepared for the attack.

"Let me be clear: the Department should have been more prepared for this attack," acting Police Chief Yogananda Pittman said in written testimony to the House Appropriations Committee obtained by ABC News.

"I am here to offer my sincerest apologies on behalf of the Department," she said in the remarks.

But then, the plot thickens - ABC News - February 6th, 2021:

Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund says entire intelligence community missed signs of riot
Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund sent an eight-page letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Congressional leaders on Monday, providing a detailed account of the events leading up to the Jan. 6 riots as well as a detailed timeline of events as he saw them unfold on that day.

Pelosi immediately called for Sund to step down on Jan. 7. Later that day, Sund submitted a letter of resignation.

ABC News obtained a copy of the letter, which was first reported by The New York Times.

In the letter, Sund said he knew about the intelligence leading up to the violent event and explained why he relied on assessments, as well as his efforts to secure support before and during the incident, from the National Guard and other law enforcement partners.

But... Sund had done his homework - from the same ABC News article:

On Jan. 4, the Capitol Police Intelligence and Inter-Agency Coordination Division "assessed "the level of probability of acts of civil disobedience/arrests occurring based on current intelligence information," as "Remote" to "Improbable" for all of the groups expected to demonstrate on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021," according to Sund.

Sund said he directed the department to be placed on "all hands on deck" status, which meant every sworn officer would be working. He also said he activated seven Civil Disturbance Unit platoons, approximately 250 officers, with four of those platoons equipped in helmets, protective clothing and shields.

Sund alerted Pelosi et. al. and they let the riots happen.  This was their "evidence" for their show trial.

And, of course, the New York Times article was not supportive of the progressive narrative so, we get the following:
