A bit of bias - they do not like it when someone poaches on their territory

Turns out that conservative Glen Beck has taken up painting and he is really good at it.
artnet.news unleashed quite the biased report (scroll down - they did not give a link):

Art Industry News: We Regret to Inform You That Glenn Beck Is an Artist Now, and His Paintings Are Just as Bizarre as You Suspected
Glenn Beck Is a Painter Now – We regret to inform you that the latest right-wing figure to reinvent himself as an artist is Glenn Beck (though he rejects the label “artist”). The conspiracy theorist and political commentator picked up painting during the pandemic and is now displaying his work at Park City Fine Arts in Utah. Proceeds from the sales will fund Beck’s charitable work. Subjects include Teddy Roosevelt, a 1936 boxing match between Joe Louis and Max Schmeling, and, um, depictions of Jesus Christ as a prisoner in Mao’s China and a concentration camp. “I don’t want to make [art] about politics,” Beck said. “This history counts to all of us.”

Classic logical falacy - an ad hominem attack.  They can not find fault with his painting which is actually quite good so they resort to calling him names. "conspiracy theorist" ???  really???  These days, a conspiracy theorist is only a few months away from a spolier aleart.  They do link to this article at Deseret News which is unbiased and actually shows some of his work.  The Deseret News story does not tell you what to think; they present the facts, Glen and a few of his paintings and let you decide for yourself:

A dispatch from inside Glenn Beck’s art show
Glenn Beck is dressed comfortably — light-colored jeans and a T-shirt that reads “Love Thy Neighbor,” underneath a dress shirt left unbuttoned to add a hint of formality. This is Beck’s art show, which took place in Park City over the weekend, and the man of the hour dresses as he pleases.

Beck isn’t sporting a hat tonight, though he’s accustomed to wearing his many: radio host, author, controversial pundit. But don’t call him an artist. I made that mistake, and Beck was swift to correct me.

“I don’t consider myself an artist,” Beck says, as we stand in a room with two dozen of his original oil paintings flanking us.

Here are two of his paintings - both of Jesus.  First being put through a Communist Chinese "struggle session" - being indoctrinated, the second as a Jew in a National Socialist concentration camp.

Powerful stuff.  Well done.  Looks like I will be taking artnet.news with a serious grain of salt from now on.  Their business needs to be art and not political commentary or deep-state narrative boosting.  Children...
