Lawyer Ben Crump is known for being a champion of radical and racial causes including Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, George Floyd, Keenan Anderson, and Tyre Nichols.
Recently, a pregnant Nurse went to get her CitiBike (an online bicycle rental) and was accosted by some black men who said that the bicycle was theirs - that they had reserved it and had paid for it. Crump weighed in with this tweet:
Needless to say, everyone knows now that that WAS the woman's bicycle, that she had reserved it and paid for it. She is now looking at suing several media outlets for defamation. She is not a public figure so this is a serious charge. Crump deleted the tweet but not before it was saved and circulated...
Wonder if he will be among those sued. Poetic justice if he is.
